South Point, Texas
South Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cameron County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,376 at the 2010 census,〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Geographic Identifiers: 2010 Census Summary File 1 (G001): South Point CDP, Texas )〕 up from 1,118 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Brownsville–Harlingen Metropolitan Statistical Area. As the name suggests, South Point is the southernmost census designated place in the state of Texas.
==Geography==
South Point is located in southern Cameron County at (25.870009, -97.383255). It is located north and west of a bend in the Rio Grande; the bend includes the southernmost point of the river and of Texas, about south of the CDP. South Point is east of the center of Brownsville.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which is land and , or 3.80%, is water.〔
